Wickham seems to have an engaging personality, and seems to exhibit character traits that Darcy lacks. Darcy, however, has expressed in no uncertain terms his disregard for Wickham, and Caroline has warned Elizabeth against him as well. Elizabeth rejects Darcy and Caroline's opinions on Wickham based on her existing negative impressions of them, and on the fact that she heard Wickham's account of his history with the Darcy family and allowed it to prejudice her opinions.
