As readers can notice, the major paradox of this story is Strigois’ first of Morois’ annihilation. Strigois’ existence is dependent on Moroi, because they drink Morois’ blood, but unfortunately Strigoi are too stupid to understand it.
Parallelism
The parallelism is used, when Rose cannot determine to look for Dimitri. Firstly, she fears to meet him, because he turned into Strigoi, but at the same time she is firmly resolved to leave the school and look for Dimitri.
