Carrier of death (Metaphor)
Death is one of the main dangerous events in this novel. The main characters are ready to except it, if their life brings some benefits in behalf of darling people. For example, Rose is ready to die for Lisa’s sake and Dimitri for Rose’s sake. But what figurative can find the adherent of this exciting book? Of course, the question is about Strigoi. Strigoi isn’t only an evil creature. It is also a metaphor of death, which is watching for the victim (Moroi and Dhampir) and is waiting for an opportune moment to take away somebody’s life. Strigoi is a carrier of death, who will destroy soul completely.
Hot-tempered person (Simile)
After the unpleasant conversation between Ryan and Rose, she is very angry with him. As Rose is a choleric person, she cannot calm herself. Her temper is rising already and “it is like a thermometer already to burst”. It means that she has a hot temper. It is really difficult to come to an agreement with Rose, but Dimitri always finds a way to make her mind easy.
Like a doll (Simile)
Mia, who is a Moroi, is a young and beautiful student of the vampire academy. She “looks like a doll. She is short compared the most Moroi and has young, round-cheeked features”. Her hair is amazing and curly. And like Rose, she also attracts boys with her beauty. But Mason’s funeral has a bad influence on her and she doesn’t look like a doll anymore.
