Writing Informally as Hsu or Ken

Kind of Activity:

Individual Writing

Objective:

Students will analyze characters from the memoir and display their careful analysis through the way they depict the characters in written letters.

Structure:

Students will write a series of letters as either Hsu or Ken to their parents about the relationship between the two of them. The first letter will be written right after they meet. The next letter will be after their freshman year of college. The third letter will be at the point in the narrative at the end of Section IV.
