First of all, we take the basic function $y = \frac{1}{x}$ and we make changes to it. We need to translate the graph one unit to the right to obtain $y=\frac{1}{x-1}$. Then we reflect the graph over the $y$-axis to obtain the graph of the function $y=\frac{1}{1-x}.$
