When a person inhales, the muscle of inspiration expands the thorax, increasing the volume while decreasing the pressure. This results in the entry of air through the lungs. When the thoracic cavity volume decreases, the pressure again increases/normalized. The air flows from higher pressure to lower pressure. The air flows because of the change in volume and pressure in the thorax.
