The broken TV
The broken TV represents Vikas’ level of poverty, as it should have been replaced instead of repaired. Vikas is so afraid of being shamed for repairing it that even after his sons were killed in the bomb blast he maintains the story that they were actually going to get a watch repaired instead of a TV.
The sign of the State Bank of India
The sign of the State Bank of India represents India itself, and serves as a symbol of belonging for Vikas. The kicking of a cow

Moreover, since cows are considered holy in Hindu religions, the act of beating this defenseless animal illustrates the children’s lack of respect for religion as well.
Modi as a symbol of Hindu superiority
After the killing of Muslims in Gujarat, Narendra Modi has become a symbol of Hindi superiority and oppression. Therefore, he is also the prime target of numerous terrorist groups.

Moreover, attacking the perceived enemy in their own country when their own people are witness is much more powerful than an attack in a foreign country.
