Brad Pitt
One of Hollywood's most famous and well-performed actors, Pitt is perhaps most known for his role in horror film Interview with the Vampire (1994) and Fight Club (1999). He has acted in a wide variety of genres and has also won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor and an Academy Award nomination for his work on 12 Monkeys (1995).
Cate Blanchett
From her native of Australia, Blanchett is an internationally renowned actress with her success ranging into the present day with her work on more contemporary films Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and Ocean's 8 (2018). However, Blanchett first rose to recognition due to her work on the film Elizabeth (1998), for which she was awarded both a Golden Globe and BAFTA. She has also been awarded the British Film Institute Fellowship for her intensive work in the media and film industry.
Taraji P. Henson
Having come from modest origins, and undertaking a degree in drama at Howard University whilst she was pregnant, Taraji Henson has made a name for herself as a strong actor in the present day film industry. Her continued work on movies such as Hidden Figures (2016) and The Karate Kid (2015) has helped her establish a name for herself as a leading African-American actress in Hollywood. She also plays the role of Cookie Lyon in the hit music-centered drama on Fox, Empire.
Mahershala Ali
Having been born by a father who was a broadway actor, Ali was destined to perform on the big screen. His apprenticeship at the California Shakespeare Theater and subsequent enrollment in New York University's graduate acting program paved the way for his hollywood success. He is perhaps most notable for his role as Juan in the film Moonlight (2016) which won an Academy Award, and has been marked as the first Muslim actor to win an Oscar.
Tilda Swinton
Having joined the Royal Shakespeare Company since 1984 and going on to perform in many other theatre and acting projects, Swinton has steadily garnered recognition for her roles over the years. Her most prominent role was perhaps as the White Witch in the beloved children's fantasy movie series, Chronicles of Narnia series (2005–10). She has been awarded the Richard Harris Award by the British Independent Film Awards for her outstanding work in the film industry.
