Benjamin Button
Benjamin Button was born on November 11th, 1918 with the physical appearance of a seventy-year-old man. His mother passed away during childbirth and his father, upon seeing him was terrified and left him on the porch of a nursing home. Queenie and Mr "Tizzy" Weathers, workers at the nursing home find him and Queenie decides to take care of him. We soon see that Benjamin ages backward, growing younger while those around him grow older. In 1930 he meets seven-year-old Daisy Fuller and remains to be good friends with her eventually marrying her and having a child together. He leaves his family believing that he can't be a good father due to his reverse aging. Social workers contact Daisy almost twenty years later when they find pre-teen Benjamin homeless and having dementia. Daisy then takes care of Benjamin who dies in her arms physically as an infant but chronologically eighty-four years old.
Daisy Fuller
The movie begins with Daisy Fuller lying on her deathbed in a hospital telling her daughter Caroline about Mr Gateau’s clock. She then asks Caroline to read from the diary of Benjamin Button. Daisy meets Benjamin at the age of seven in the nursing home her grandmother lives in and becomes good friends with him. They lose touch when Daisy gets accepted into a dance company in New York City. They reunite years later when Benjamin comes back home when Queenie falls sick. Benjamin and Daisy move in together when Queenie dies and have a child together. Daisy remarries after Benjamin leaves. A widowed Daisy is contacted by social workers to take care of Benjamin who is now a pre-teen. Daisy dies after finally telling Caroline about her father.
Queenie
Queenie is a hardworking woman who runs the nursing home that Benjamin Button was dropped off at. From the moment she sees him she falls in love with him calling him a miracle of God. She decides to bring up Benjamin despite the doctor telling her that he might not have much time to live. Queenie and Benjamin share the relationship of mother and son.
Thomas Button
Thomas Button is Benjamin Button’s biological father. He, terrified of his son’s appearance and grief stricken from his wife's death, abandons Benjamin on the porch of a nursing home. He meets Benjamin on a tugboat but does not reveal that he is his father. Later, he reunites with Benjamin but is terminally ill. He passes away and wills his entire estate to Benjamin.
