Throughout the study of The Fire Next Time, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.
In both Day 1 activities students will use the internet to compile information on The Emancipation Proclamation, Juneteenth, and cities impacted by the Great Migration for their various presentations and projects.
In the Day 2 activity on redlining, student will use the internet to explore a digital mapping archive of federal maps.
In Day 4 activity, students will watch the 1963 debate between Malcolm X and James Baldwin.
