Objective:

Students will consider the broader implications of the sex robot technology presented in the book and use that as a springboard to analyze the overall impact of technological advances on society.

Structure:

For this activity, break students into small groups of 3-5. In their groups, they will consider the implications of the Possibilibots on society in The Heart Goes Last. In one conversation Stan has with his Possibilibots colleagues, they talk about whether or not the sex robots are as good as the real thing, and how the technology is advancing:
