What emotions are behind Amir's reactions when he finds out that Hassan is his half-brother?

Amir is completely shocked and feels betrayed by Baba and Rahim Khan for keeping the truth from him for so long. He lashes out at Khan, calling him and Baba liars. Baba had once told him that there was only one sin, which was theft, and had admonished thieves, but Amir now says that Baba was in fact a thief himself. It also dawns upon Amir that he and Baba are not that different after all. Eventually, Amir is able to accept the truth and is understand why Baba had always showered Hassan with attention and affection even though he was just a servant.
