The Motorcycle Diaries is a memoir of a journey that a 23-year-old Ernesto "Che" Guevara took across South America with his friend Alberto Granada. They start out on a motorbike, but it eventually gives out and they're forced to hitch hike, stowaway, and go on foot for the rest of their journey. Over the course of their journey, Guevara sees and experiences things that he has never been exposed to before including poverty and social and racial injustice.
