"Yes, after all, you told me, Sister Clara, I could hardly stay away."
Clara and fellow believers have gathered, waiting for the world to come to an end. However, Clara is shocked because she has not to see Hiram join them as agreed earlier. Clara calls Hiram and tells him that he must hurry because things have to go with the order. When Hiram arrives, at last, he is surprised to realize that majority of the people who have gathered are journalists from various televisions, radios, and newspapers. At least, Hiram comforts Clara by telling her that he could not stay away during a defining moment like that.
"We plan didn't expect so many folks, Hiram. But I can give you two now for you and Emma, and maybe we will get enough more done by tomorrow for the rest."
Hiram has come to the event invited by Clara with five people, including his wife, Emma. However, Clara has only two tunics which she hands over to Hiram and his wife. Clara did not expect so many people to turn up for the event. However, she is willing to make more tunics for the following day because the event has to go on as planned.
“Yes, so you told me. And yet it is, as you yourself said, Sister Clara, but one more signs among the many, one more assurance in the contest with doubt.”
These words are aid by Hiram after she laments that she just lost her house recently. Hiram reminds her that he is also suffering the same fate. However, Hiram comforts Clara by reminding her that it is among the many signs that signify their big day and event.
