Do you agree with Glaucon that any person who could act as they pleased without any consequences whatsoever would behave unjustly all the time? Why or why not? What would you do with the Ring of Gyges? What would you not do with it? Why?

This is another fun, open question. Many students are likely to straightforwardly agree with Glaucon and admit that they, like anyone else, would use the Ring of Gyges to their advantage if given the chance. They will probably be less sure, however, about what they would not do with it. At least some students, for example, will argue that they would not behave immorally constantly if they possessed the Ring of Gyges.
