The Snowman Imagery

The Snowman Imagery

The introduction

The book comprises 32 pages and is fully illustrated with pictures. The book opens with a picture showing the young unnamed boy waking up. He has reddish hair. The boy looks outside through his bedroom window, and the landscape is snowy. The reader sees the boy wearing his boots and hat. He rushes outside to roll a snowball into a statuesque. These scenes are demonstrated using pictures to help readers see what the young boy is up to, thus depicting a sense of sight.

The young boy’s tour with the snowman

At night, the pictures in the book show the young boy waking up to look at the snowman he made during the day. The boy goes out and brings the snowman inside the house. They move from one room to the other as the young boy shows the snowman the television and paintings. They finish their tour in the kitchen, where they eat, and the snowman washes the dishes. Consequently, the narrator's house tour and the snowman show readers the young boy's excitement with his newfound friend.

A small pile of melted snow

After finishing their explorations at night, the snowman and the young boy part ways. The boy goes to sleep, and the snowman remains outside. When the boy wakes up the following day, he goes to see his friend, the snowman. Instead of meeting the snowman, the boy sees a small pile of melted ice.
