Kate Sheffield
Though not as beautiful as her sister, Edwina, Kate is a highly intelligent and sarcastic individual. She refuses to allow her sister to marry a rake such as Anthony, believing him to not be good enough for her sister. However, in the process she ends up falling in love with Anthony herself.
