Objective:

This activity will stimulate students’ imaginations by making them come up with an alternative ending to the book.

Structure:

If the Martians hadn’t died from exposure to earthly microorganisms, it’s very possible the artilleryman’s vision of life under Martian rule would have been realized. But there are many other possible endings for The War of the Worlds, and students will come up with some in this activity.
