The War of the Worlds Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of The War of the Worlds, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

Day One: Students will need access to the internet for the first activity, which is making a map.

Day Two: Students will need access to the internet for the first activity.

Day Three: No technology needed.

Day Four: The first activity involves reading an online article, which can be printed out.

Day Five: The second activity is watching the Spielberg/Tom Cruise movie version, which is available on DVD.
