Jay Asher is the author of Thirteen Reasons Why and The Future of Us, which he co-authored with Carolyn Mackler. He has spent much of his professional life surrounded by books. He’s worked in independent bookstores, chain bookstores, an outlet bookstore, and two public libraries. He lives in California, where he grew up and has lived for most of his life. He spent six months in Wyoming, which is where he got the idea for Thirteen Reasons Why.
