Return to the first thought question of this lesson plan: would you like to be immortal? Why or why not?
Just like the first day, poll the class on who would like to be immortal or not. Ask students who changed their answers to explain why. What did the book point out that they hadn't thought of before reading it? Can students come up with more downsides to immortality than they did at the beginning of the book? For students who still chose immortality, ask them how they would deal with those downsides. If no students chose immortality, brainstorm as a class ways someone might be able to deal with the downsides.
