Why does Aza have a relationship with Davis?

Aza seems to be a very greedy person, as the only apparent reason she has formed a relationship with Davis is because he is the son of a billionaire. Aza wants the hundred thousand dollar reward for finding Davis' father, but Davis just shuts her up with one hundred thousand dollars. Still, Aza isn't sure that this is enough, and claims she no longer wants to be with Davis because of her mental illness, OCD.

  2. 2

What role does OCD play in the story?

OCD, short for obsessive compulsive disorder, is a mental illness that creates a serious dilemma for the victim. Even if they don't really want to do something, they feel the impulse to do it. Fulfilling that short action provides a sense of closure to the victim, even if it may seem like a completely random act by another individual. In the story, Aza suffers from severe OCD. It harms everything in her life, from her relationship with Davis to finding one hundred thousand dollars, and therefore provides a conflict within the novel.

  3. 3

What is Daisy's role in the story?

Daisy claims to be Aza's best friend, but, by the end of the novel, this seems to be untrue. From the beginning, Daisy has been helping Aza to find the billionaire so that they could get the one hundred thousand dollar reward. However, Daisy starts to grow more and more distant from Aza because of her mental illness - OCD. Daisy starts to write Star Wars fan fiction based upon Aza's OCD, which, of course, makes Aza very upset. Throughout the novel, Daisy changes from a protagonist to an antagonist.
