    When Cheryl loses her William J. Crockett bracelet, she initially panics, but then realizes that there is "nothing to do but go on". What does she mean by this? What does "going on" mean in this case?

    This is another instance in which Cheryl demonstrates newfound emotional maturity when faced with loss. In contrast to the Bob Marley t-shirt, however, the symbolism of the bracelet is much more apparent to Cheryl, and so the sadness she feels is deeper. In choosing to continue to move forward in spite of this more concrete loss, she gives an even stronger impression that she is emotionally ready for whatever comes next.
