Black Feminisms Jigsaw

Objective:
Students will identify and understand the major themes in Black feminism.

Structure:
This activity builds on the Day 2 activity “An Introduction to Black Feminism.” In this activity, students will gain a deeper understanding of how race, class, gender, and sexuality entwine in Black women’s lives. This will help prepare them to write strong essays in which they analyze race, class, gender, and sexuality in Audre Lorde’s life.
Before this activity, gather the following Black feminist texts:
