Objective:
Understanding the ambiguities of the text and how a production resolves or maintains them
Structure:
The students are to imagine that they are directing a production of the play. They need to decide how to present Scene 10. After discussing what questions and ambiguities are in the script, they will be asked to write out their instructions to the actors playing Blanche and Stanley. Alternatively, you may break the class into groups of three, with two actors and one director in each group, and make the assignment more literal through doing scene studies.
