It makes me angry that grape flavored medicine doesn't really taste anything like grape. It tastes more like some tonic that evil witches in fairy-tales would give to some person to poison them. I don't know who thought those medicines tasted like grape, but they are the reason I had a not so fun childhood. I always had to take some disgusting medicine, and the medicines didn't even work that well. I would take one cough syrup for two or so weeks, and then when my cough didn't go away, I would have to take some other medication for it later.

When I was younger I didn't understand how I could remedy that situation, but a few more years and I had enough of the medicines. I was curious why these medications were so weak, so I started exploring around. A quick google search told me that drugs fall into the realm of chemical engineering, and that's what got me hooked. I was fascinated by how the molecules in drugs could alter or mimic molecules we have in our bodies. From there, I became interested in chemical engineering, and I want to work with drug-related technology.

My main interest is drug delivery. Working in the hospital, I saw that patients would need to be treated for some ailment, but the drug needed for the treatment...
