Structure:

Begin the activity with a close reading of "i believe." What do students observe about the different things that Jackie believes? They should notice the way that sometimes two beliefs contradict each other, or that Jackie simultaneously believes in several things that are different from each other. How do Jackie's beliefs relate to their own?
