Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Brown Girl Dreaming, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

All writing activities, including Day 1's "Pride in the Past," Day 4's "Mi Amiga," and Day 5's "I Believe," make use of document-sharing sites or a class blog.

The ongoing "Family-History Project" may integrate many different forms of technology depending on the art form that students choose to use.

The "Interview Project" will require recording technology, though students with such technology on their phones should be free to use...
