A Timeline for Ceremony

Students will analyze time in the novel and create a linear timeline.

Structure:
Throughout the novel, Silko uses nonlinear storytelling to relate different plot lines as well as the events of Tayo’s life and memory. Time plays an important role in the novel, especially as Tayo enters the phase of doing the ceremony. . In this activity, students will create two timelines using software like Capzles (http://www.capzles.com) or Dipity (http://www.dipity.com).
