Dandelion Wine is the first novel in what would eventually be called the "Green Town Trilogy," consisting of this novel, as well as Farewell Summer, a direct continuation of the plot, and finally Something Wicked This Way Comes, which does not have the same characters but which takes place in Green Town and is thematically similar. A fourth book, entitled Summer Morning, Summer Night, contains several additional vignettes set in Green Town, and was published in 2008.
