    Lotario states that "women's honor consists entirely of the good opinion others have of them." If that is true, is the same thing true of men? Also, how is "honor" as used by Cervantes different from what we could call "reputation"?

    Students should be encouraged to consider what it means to be subject to the good opinion of others. How does a person earn the "good opinion" of others? Should that matter? In other words, how much should a person's reputation or good standing be subject to public opinion and popularity?
