To humanize and flesh out other Camp Green Lake inmates.

Structure:

We know the story of how Stanley came to be at Camp Green Lake. But what about the other campers? X-Ray, Armpit, Magnet, Zigzag, Zero and Squid are each at Camp Green Lake for a reason, as Mr. Pendanski would say. Students will almost certainly agree that Stanley does not 'deserve' to be at Camp Green Lake. After all, he's innocent of the crime for which he was convicted. Have students discuss whether they think the other boys 'deserve' to be at Camp Green...
