Structure:

In many ways, "My Only Gods" operates like a children's story, not unlike the Peter Rabbit book that the mother reads. For this exercise, students will rewrite "My Only Gods" as a children's book.

Break the class up into groups of four, and assign them each a role.

1. Supervisor - This person keeps the group on task.

2. Children's Expert - This person knows how to talk to kids and how to make things simple.
