Both Sharma tales are intended to be comical farces. Do you find them funny? What jokes stand out to you?
This question allows students to work through what might be some confusion with the two stories. As they discuss which jokes did or did not work, remind them that comedy tends to be deeply grounded in culture; therefore, something funny in one culture is often not as funny in another. However, they should be able to relate to a person who refuses to do their job and complains all the time.
