Chapter 9

James is hungry and scared of how quiet and dark the garden is. As he looks at the giant peach, he feels like something magical is going to happen. Drawn almost as if by a magnet, James goes and inspects the peach. He notices a hole in the side of it.

Chapter 10

James peaks into the hole and realizes it's a tunnel. He begins to crawl through it, pausing to take a few bites of the peach. When he gets to the pit in the center, he notices a door cut into it. James pushes open the door and hears a voice say that they've been waiting for him. Terrified, James tries to go back but sees only a wall where the door once stood.
