Frank T.J. Mackey
Frank is a man who sells a program to men that teaches them to seduce women for the purpose of having sex with them. He is Earl's son who has been abandoned by his father since he was 14. Frank had to watch his mother die at that age of an illness, all alone taking care of her as his father never returned. He is found by Phil, Earl's hospice nurse and he goes to see his father on the older man's death bed.
Stanley
Stanley is a young boy who has been winning week after week on a live television quiz show called What Do Kids Know? His father pushes him to win the prize money but doesn't truly care for his son's well being. Stanley pees his pants when no one will allow him to go to the bathroom and he refuses to continue to play the game show. He confronts his dad, and tells him he needs to be nicer to him.
Claudia
Claudia is a woman who appears to have a drug addiction. She doesn't want to be near her father as he molested her as a child. She finds herself on a date with Officer Kurring, but is certain they won't work out.
Officer Kurring
Kurring is an officer with the North Hollywood precinct. He is part of a dating service. He wants to find someone to love, and he desires to be in a relationship as well as to be a great cop.
Earl
Earl is Frank's estranged father who left him and his mother when Frank was 14. Earl dying of cancer and in a semi-lucid state he asks his hospice nurse to find his son so he can see him before he dies.
Phil
Phil is Earl's hospice nurse. He has become very close with with Earl and wants to do anything to ensure the last day of his life is meaningful. He finds a way to contact Frank, Earl's son whom he abandoned, to give them a chance to reconcile before Earl dies.
Linda
Linda is Earl's current wife. She married him for his money but has since fallen in love with him. She's ashamed she will get his money and wants their lawyer to ensure her that she won't get any money when Earl passes. She is so distraught over her husband's dying that she attempts to kill herself by taking an entire vial of his pain medicine.
