Miles Morales
The main character of the comic book, Miles Morales is a superhero also known as Spider-Man. Miles is a thirteen-year-old biracial teenager; his mother is Puerto Rican and his father is African-American. Morales is a lot like Peter Parker; he possesses similar powers and attributes to Parker. He is, ultimately, a good kid with a profound intellect and an iron moral compass.
In Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Morales encounters the long-lost and presumed-dead Peter Parker. Together, Morales and Parker work to fight the Green Goblin, who is also revealed to be alive. After the two defeat the Green Goblin, Parker retires and passes the Spider-Man mantle to Morales, who he deems to be a worthy successor.
Norman Osbourne/The Green Goblin
Norman Osbourne, whose alter ego The Green Goblin terrorizes New York City, is believed to be dead. Although his actions say otherwise, Norman Osbourne is a fundamentally decent man in an absolutely horrible situation. The Green Goblin, on the other hand, is a fundamentally horrible person who has put himself into awful situations. He is a monster.
In the comic book (where he is the antagonist of the story), Norman Osbourne/The Green Goblin is presumed to have been killed. One day, however, he reappears and begins to terrorize the city once again. Along with Peter Parker, Miles Morales fights hard to stop Norman Osbourne/The Green Goblin.
Mary Jane
Mary Jane appears in many forms in the Spider-Man universe. In Miles Morales: Spider-Man, Mary Jane is once again in a relationship with Peter Parker. After Peter Parker fights with Miles against the Green Goblin, Parker retires to spend more with Mary Jane and start a family with her.
Katie Bishop
In a previous comic book in the series, Miles dated Katie Bishop, who took up the "Hawkeye" mantel. In the book, Miles tells his secret identity to Katie, whose family is revealed to be working for the evil group HYDRA, who ultimately kidnaps Miles, his family, and Ganke.
Ganke Lee
Miles' best friend and confidant. Ganke is a tech-savvy and intelligent individual who supports Miles in his superhero endeavors.
Rio Morales
Miles' mother is a caring and supportive woman who works as a nurse. She plays an important role in Miles' life and provides guidance and understanding.
Jefferson Davis
Miles' father, a police officer who has a complicated relationship with his son due to his views on Spider-Man. Jefferson is determined to keep his community safe.
The Rhino
A superhuman criminal with enhanced strength and durability who poses a threat to Miles and the city of Brooklyn.
The Prowler/Aaron Davi
Miles' uncle and a former criminal. He has a complex relationship with Miles and plays a significant role in the story.
