Compare and contrast Demeter and Dionysus.
Demeter and Dionysus are presented together in Mythology in a chapter called The Two Great Gods of Earth. Demeter and Dionysus are similar in that both help humanity, both are connected with the earth and with things that grow, and that both know sorrow as well as happiness. With Demeter provides humanity with corn and Dionysus provides humanity with wine and both were honored during the harvest.
