Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will be able to identify and analyze the differences between alternative tellings of Greek, Roman, and Norse myths.

  2. 2

    Students will be able to write both fictional and expository narratives and respond to the writing of their peers.

  3. 3

    Students will be able to recognize references and connections to Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology in other texts, including films, music, and visual art.

  4. 4

    Students will be able to recognize and analyze the use of literary devices in Greek, Roman, and Norse mythology.
