Manipulation

Langda, who portrays Shakespeare's character of Iago from the original play Othello, represents this theme as he embodies it throughout the film. Here, Langda manipulates Omi and all others in order to see his treacherous lies unfold into the reality of everyone's lives around him.

Power

Omi is the leader of a gang whose primary function is to commit political crimes in order that a local politician, Tiwari Bhaisaab, is able to gain and maintain his power. However, Omi begins to take power for himself by marrying the woman he desires despite what others may think and stepping into his new political role. Eventually, this power is undermined by Langda.

Jealousy

Omi is promoted to the candidate for the upcoming state elections and once he is he appoints Kesu over Langda as his successor. This causes deep jealousy from Langda who believes he is the rightful successor and not the less skilled and experienced Kasu. Thus, Langda's jealousy leads him to tear down Omi piece by piece.
