Crayon's America and Crayon's Europe

Students will be able to read closely for supporting evidence, identify the narrator's tone, and make an argument to support their claims.

Structure:
Look closely at the first two compostions, "The Author's Account of Himself" and "The Voyage." Have students compare and contrast Crayon's America with Crayon's Europe and then consider how his interest in and experience of traveling to Europe informs these descritpions.
