Salt to the Sea Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

Throughout the study of Salt to the Sea, students with disabilities should have the option of using dictation software for writing assignments, and text-to-speech software for reading assignments, or any other ADA-mandated technological accommodations.

Students may use the internet to conduct relevant historical research, as in the Day One Classroom Activity "Historical Setting: Part I" and the Day Four Classroom Activity "Interstitial People."

Students will need the internet to access relevant supplementary materials such as articles and podcasts, as in the Day Two Classroom Activity "The Amber Room" and the Day Three Classroom Activity "Historical Storytelling."
