Structure:
One of the key factors driving Carrie and Hurstwood apart is the fact that Carrie gets a job and Hurstwood cannot. Carrie’s anger over this situation is a constant theme in these chapters, but that might seem odd to students.
This assignment gives students a chance to debate the issue as a group.
