Pete and Jane
Pete and Jane are one of the first married couples introduced in this play. Both of them undertake a one-night stand with people who are also in a couple themselves.
Leon and Sonja
Leon and Sonja are the other married couple introduced in part one. Leon has a one-night stand with Jane, while Pete and Sonja plan to but don't go through with it in the end. The two couples are paralleled in dialogue and action on the stage, connecting the couples together.
Sarah
Sarah is introduced in the second act, and we see her relationships play out with various people in her life.
Valerie
Valerie is Sarah's therapist and is introduced in part 2. She knows Sarah well and hears about the issues in her personal life and relationships.
