Study Objectives

If all of the elements of this lesson plan are employed, students will develop the following powers, skills, and understanding:

    Students will be able to analyze and practice the differences between reading and producing a script.

    Students will be able to discuss the questions of fate and free will beneath the surface of Sure Thing.

    Students will analyze the relationship between Sure Thing and other texts that offer multiple alternative outcomes, such as Choose Your Own Adventure novels.

    Students will connect visual art projects, such as set and costume design, to text analysis.
