The psychologist should divide the girls and boys in two groups. After dividing them into two groups, he should randomly allot both the methods to the boys’ group. Similarly, he should randomly assign both the methods to the girls’ group. In this randomized block design, the boys and girls are randomly assigned to both the methods. So, the gender variability on the response variable will not bother the experiment.
