Objective:

Students will be able to think critically about the impact of learning environment on student success related to the book and the world they live in.

Structure:

One part of this activity involves a recreation of the stunt in Brother Jacques' classroom. Instruct the class to stand up and forcefully run in place every time you say the word "environment," which you will purposefully say with increasing frequency throughout the class period. The goal of this recreation is to get students to fully understand the disruption caused by these outbursts to the learning environment.
