Structure:
For homework, have students review the chapters describing Edmond's imprisonment. In class, play the prison scenes from the 1975 version of The Count of Monte Cristo (available free on YouTube). Have students take notes as they watch, noting how the story is brought to life and paying special attention to the choices made by the director and actors.
