Creative Writing

Objective:

Students will write a passage from the point-of-view of a different character than the narrator.

Structure:

Ask students to select a passage from the day's reading and rewrite it from a different character's perspective, such as Robert or Brett. This passage should be about two pages long and incorporate various details about the student's chosen character into the text. At the end of the assignment, students will hand in their passages, which you may grade or make suggestions for a second draft.
