Students will take turns playing characters and questioning each other to test their understanding and analyses of the text

Structure:

The "Hot Seat" is a chair placed at the front of the room where a student sits, pretending to be a character from the book, and takes questions from the audience.

Activity:

1) Prepare the students a day or more in advance by explaining what the "Hot Seat" is and giving them time either in class or as homework to prepare two or more questions they could ask the characters. This activity...
